The new Deep MapTM paves the way for IoT scenarios
The geoinformation experts from Heidelberg Mobil International GmbH have released a new version of their Deep MapTM, which is the first map technology that displays room-related changes dynamically on mobile 3D maps. In combination with sensors and analytics platforms, it can be used to clearly and simply visualize complex relationships.
Since most of the information that plays a part in the use of urban spaces has a geographical reference, the application possibilities are accordingly versatile.
For example, a trade fair visitor could identify the exhibitors on the dynamic site plan that correspond to their interest profile – filtered by the current crowds of visitors and the distance from their current location. Or, a building manager could read the current lighting conditions and temperatures in the various rooms from the three-dimensional building presentation. The possibilities with the new Deep MapTM SDK are almost unlimited and allow completely innovative, mobile access to complex information.

The new SDK makes integration in partner solutions even easier and more streamlined, and, thanks to a powerful engine with greatly reduced storage requirements, even larger sites are not a problem. Customers and partners will also be pleased with the variable display options: The styling, information display and user interaction with the map can be further customized in the new version and can be flexibly adapted during use.
As usual, the Heidelberg-based software developers also provide everything from a single source in the new SDK: From creating the map to providing easy-to-use APIs to back-end services and data connectivity.
